Ghost stories, spectral Roman centurions, phantom prisoners, and the legendary White Lady! Embark on a journey through over 1,700 years of history at the formidable Portchester Castle, revealing true tales of spectres and shades, and be captivated by eerie stories that come alive after dark.
Unlike other ghost tours, we bring you the genuine hangman’s humour of history through its myths and legends. Our storytellers will guide you through the dark and forbidding history of this ancient fortress, dodging shadows at every corner of its towering Norman keep and Roman walls. Uncover ghostly tales, from the mournful White Lady said to wander the battlements searching for her lost child, to the miserable spirits of the thousands of French prisoners of war held captive in the castle's squalid dungeons. Explore the origins of myths and legends, and discover the scientific side of paranormal occurrences through centuries-old stories.
Join our darkly humorous ghost tour in the heart of a haunted coastal fortress; together we'll explore the ancient ruins, learn a little, laugh a little, but scream a lot!
