Step back to 1813 on an atmospheric evening ghost walk that plunges you into Portsmouth’s murky Georgian streets and the world of Nelson. Actors bring to life a seedy underworld of smugglers, pirates, rival gangs, ale houses and ‘cat’ houses as you hear dark tales of murder, disappearances and hauntings hidden beneath today’s tourist streets. The experience blends storytelling and live interaction with group participation for a theatrical take on the city after dark.
You will learn a little, you will laugh a little - but hopefully you will scream a lot…
* Immersive, actor-led scenes that recreate the sights and atmosphere of Georgian Portsmouth
* Dark historical tales and local mysteries tied to Nelson’s era and the city’s maritime past
* Participatory theatrical elements that engage the whole group
